![]() ![]() This could be applied to any one that plays any sort of instrument. To hear the best of the vocaloids you have to listen to the Japanese songs. Also, most of the voice banks available, and nearly all of the better ones, are Japanese. Many tracks play up on the quantized vocal technique, but you don't have to do it that way. ![]() IMHO a real / good vocalist will always sound better that's why I think I might buy it and use it as I see fit. ![]() I hope we don't start hearing a bunch of DJ's / electronic music artists flooding the industry with vocaliod songs. Vocaloid would take the fun out of the natural songwriting experience. It only take a few hours to write lyrics and one hour to record vocals for a song. We hope that it becomes an indispensable aspect of the music industry." In other words this is for people who can't sing Vocaloid will spread and reach more and more people, who will in turn find new ways of enjoying its possibilities. "The future of Vocaloid is one in which it will become as natural as playing a piano a platform that provides a spotlight for musical creators. Appropriate for animation video games and cartoons for the exception of a few realistic songs. Most of the stuff I've heard sounds very Cartoonish / fake. I listened to some demos on youtube seems to be very popular with PC users. ![]() (Any vocal software is going to have some limitations, so I wanted to be clear about them. Here's a video where I show what Blue can do, as well as what Blue cannot do. Realivox Blue has a wordbuilder, but works in a completely different (and IMHO, better) way than Vocaloid does. My company, Realitone, makes a product called Realivox Blue which runs in Kontakt (and therefore works in Cubase, including LE.) If you don't own Kontakt (which costs $399,) we give you an option (for $10 more) to buy the "Kontakt Player" version, so you can use the free Kontakt Player (which will work in Cubase LE.) You might try Googling on your own, but the only download page I could find for the free trial version was in Japanese: Vocaloid is very much a Japanese product and any information in English is almost non-existent. I'm not sure if it would work in Cubase LE, but you can download a free trial of VOCALOID Editor for Cubase and try it for yourself, although finding it can be tricky. ![]()
